CHAZ & AJ CONTEST RULES FOR GO KART 500 RACE CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. Eligibility. Subject to the additional restrictions below, the Chaz and AJ Go Kart 500 Race Contest is open to Connecticut residents, all entrants must be 18 years or older at the time of entry. Employees of “Cox Media Group, Inc., WPLR-FM, WFOX-FM, On Track Karting Inc., Tire Depot of Bristol CT, New England Tractor of Bethany CT and each of its respective affiliated companies, and advertising and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with, any such employees, are not eligible to enter or to win. The term “immediate family members” includes spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children, and grandchildren. Enter by going to WPLR.com or 959thefox.com during the contest period. When you get to the WPLR or WFOX website, find the contest page for the “Chaz & AJ Go Kart 500 webpage at and correctly fill out the entry form along with entering your name, address, daytime phone number on the contest webpage. Subject to compliance with the eligibility and other requirements of these Official Rules all correct entries be collected and total of up to fifteen (15) registrants from the contest website will be randomly chosen on or about the week of February 22nd 2013 and will be declared an entrant. Entrants must be at On tracking Karting located 100 Silvermine Rd. in Brookfield Connecticut later than 11:30am on Sunday February 24th 2013. Entrants that show up late may be qualified. Competition will consist of a total of three (3) rounds. The first round is the practice round where entrants will get a chance to become familiar with their car and the track. The second round will be the qualifying round where entrants will race around five (5) laps in a timed competition. Each of the competitors will be timed, which will decide the order they will line up on the track for the third and final random round. The competitor with the fastest time in the qualifying round will get the pole position which represents the competitor with the fastest time. The registrant with the second fastest time from the qualifying round has the second position and so on until all competitors have an assigned position. At the beginning of the third round race/competition a green flag will be waved which will indicate the start of the race/competition. After fifteen (15) laps the first competitor that crosses the finish line will be declared the winner and will receive the grand prize of a flat screen television.. Subject to compliance with the eligibility and other requirements of these Official Rules. Sponsors will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, misdirected or illegible entries or for failure to receive entries due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, hardware or software, whether originating with sender or sponsors. In the event of a dispute, all online entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the owner of the ISP account from which they were sent. For these purposes, an ISP account holder shall mean the natural person assigned to such ISP account by the Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning ISP addresses for the domain associated with such ISP account. Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted or the owner of an ISP account shall be determined by sponsors in its sole discretion, and sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the contest. All entries become property of sponsors and none will be returned. You may enter the contest only one time and One (1) grand prize will be awarded. Winner Selection. One (1) Grand Prize Winner will be identified on Sunday February 24th, 2013 after competition. Subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules, one (1) participant will be declared a Winner. Prizes and Odds. A total of one (1) grand prize winner will receive flat screen television (Actual retail value (“ARV”) $700.00) . Prize may be subject to cancellation or rescheduling, and other restrictions may apply. Odds of winning depend on number of entrant and relative speed of contestants. Winner Notification and Acceptance. A contest judge will notify the winner after the completion of competition and upon verification of their eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules. Winner may also receive written conformation as to when and where prize can be redeemed. Winner may waive their right to receive prizes. Prizes are non-assignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed by winner. Prize and individual components of prize is subject to availability and 99.1 WPLR and 95.9 WFOX reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Winner is solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on prizes. Winner may be required to pick up their prize and or complete an affidavit of eligibility, and a liability and publicity release (except where prohibited by law) which in the case of a prize or the aforementioned documents must be returned or pick up within ten (10) days business days of date of sender’s postmark. Failure to timely sign and return the affidavit or release, or to comply with any term or condition of these Official Rules, or pick up prize or may result in a winner’s disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in the prize, and the award of the prize to a substitute winner. All prizes unless other wise stated must be picked up during regular business hours of WPLR and WFOX. . Participation. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of 99.1 WPLR, 95.9 WFOX contest judges shall be final in all respects. WPLR and WFOX reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this contest as solely determined by 99.1 WPLR and 95.9 WFOX judges. Construction. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein. The Chaz and AJ Daytona 500 Race contest is sponsored by WPLR 99.1 FM, WFOX 95.9 FM, Cox Media Group, Inc., On Track Karting Inc., Tire Depot of Bristol CT, New England Tractor of Bethany CT . The decisions of WPLR, WFOX and contest judges regarding the selection of winners, the interpretation of these Official Rules and all other aspects of the contest shall be final and binding in all respects. 99.1 WPLR and 95.9 WFOX will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials relating to the contest.
